- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Chocolate shavings or banana slices for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until the crumbs are well coated and the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 8-10 minutes, or until its lightly golden. Remove it from the oven and let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract to the cream cheese and beat until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, then fold in the mashed bananas.
- Pour the cheesecake filling over the cooled crust in the springform pan and smooth the top.
- Prepare the banana pudding according to package instructions using the 2 cups of milk. Let it sit until thickened.
- Layer the sliced bananas evenly over the cheesecake filling.
- Pour the prepared banana pudding over the sliced bananas, spreading it evenly.
- Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- Whip the heavy cream for the topping with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Carefully remove the sides of the springform pan and spread the whipped cream topping over the banana pudding layer.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or banana slices if desired.
- Slice the cheesecake into wedges using a sharp knife and serve chilled.
