Ingredients
- semi-sweet chocolate chips
- heavy cream
- unsalted butter
- chocolate sprinkles
- powdered sugar
Instructions
- Use a small knife or a donut corer to create a hole in the center of each donut, if they are not already hollow.
- Fill a piping bag with the chilled chocolate custard filling and carefully pipe the filling into each donut until they are full.
- In a small saucepan over low heat, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips, heavy cream, and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth.
- Remove from heat and let the glaze cool slightly before using.
- Dip the top of each filled donut into the chocolate glaze, allowing any excess to drip off.
- If desired, sprinkle chocolate sprinkles or powdered sugar on top of the glazed donuts while the glaze is still wet.
- Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.
