  • Total Time: 120 minutes
  • Yield: 8 slices 1x

Description

Warm, sweet, and comforting cinnamon sugar pizza made with homemade dough and topped with a delicious cream cheese glaze. Perfect for dessert or a sweet treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ½ cups (420g) all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 1 ¼ cups (300ml) warm water (105-115°F or 40-46°C)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, plus more for greasing
  • ½ cup (1 stick or 113g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional, but adds a nice warmth)
  • 4 ounces (113g) cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup (30g) powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons milk, or more as needed for desired consistency
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate small bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes, or until foamy.
  3. Pour the yeast mixture and olive oil into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Use a wooden spoon or your hands to mix until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead for 6-8 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic. Add more flour or water as needed.
  5. Lightly grease a large bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning to coat. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a clean kitchen towel. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
  6. Once the dough has doubled, gently punch it down to release the air.
  7. Melt the butter in a microwave-safe bowl or in a saucepan over low heat.
  8. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg (if using). Mix well.
  9. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven while it preheats.
  10. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Roll it out into a large circle or oval, about 12-14 inches in diameter.
  11. Carefully transfer the dough to a piece of parchment paper.
  12. Brush the melted butter evenly over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edge.
  13. Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the buttered dough.
  14. Carefully slide the parchment paper with the pizza onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cinnamon sugar is bubbly.
  15. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before slicing.
  16. Make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature.
  17. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth.
  18. Gradually add the powdered sugar, beating until well combined.
  19. Add the milk, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  20. Once the pizza has cooled slightly, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top.
