Instructions

  1. Start by taking the chicken breasts out of the refrigerator. Pat them dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt and pepper.

  4. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on one side without moving it.

  6. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter. Allow it to melt and become bubbly.
  7. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden.
  8. Pour in 1 cup of chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to deglaze it.
  9. Bring the chicken broth to a simmer and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
  10. Stir in 1 cup of heavy cream, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of paprika. Mix until well combined.
  11. Add 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring until it melts and incorporates smoothly.
  12. Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over them.
  13. Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for an additional 5 minutes.
