  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

Tender garlic butter chicken bites seasoned with Italian herbs and finished with a splash of lemon juice. This quick and easy dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or as a crowd-pleasing appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a spicy kick)

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes) and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried Italian herbs. Add red pepper flakes if desired, and toss to coat.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble.
  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet, stirring to coat in the garlic butter. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the chicken and stir to combine.
  6. Let the chicken simmer in the garlic butter sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  7. Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or pasta. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier option; adjust cooking time as needed.
  • Add fresh herbs or a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet.
