Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (for a spicy kick)
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch cubes) and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried Italian herbs. Add red pepper flakes if desired, and toss to coat.
- In a large skillet, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat until it starts to bubble.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the seasoned chicken pieces to the skillet, stirring to coat in the garlic butter. Increase heat to medium-high and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Squeeze the juice of one lemon over the chicken and stir to combine.
- Let the chicken simmer in the garlic butter sauce for an additional 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or pasta. Enjoy!
Notes
- Chicken thighs can be used for a juicier option; adjust cooking time as needed.
- Add fresh herbs or a splash of white wine for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a skillet.
