Enjoy a quick and delicious Garlic Honey Shrimp dish, featuring tender shrimp sautéed in a sweet and savory garlic honey sauce. Perfect over rice or noodles, this recipe is a delightful combination of flavors that will impress your guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper in a medium bowl and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in the honey and let it bubble slightly. Add soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden. Flip the shrimp and pour the garlic honey sauce over them. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until fully cooked and coated in sauce.
  4. Taste the shrimp and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more honey for sweetness or soy sauce for saltiness.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat and let the shrimp sit for a minute to absorb the sauce. Serve over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.
