- 1 pound large shrimp (21–25 count), peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the shrimp: Ensure shrimp are fully thawed if frozen. Pat dry with paper towels.
- Season the shrimp: In a large bowl, toss shrimp with melted butter, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, parsley, lemon juice, garlic powder, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Ensure shrimp are evenly coated.
- Marinate (optional): Refrigerate for 15-30 minutes for best flavor. Do not marinate for too long.
- Preheat the oven: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare the baking sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Arrange the shrimp: Spread shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, avoiding overcrowding.
- Roast the shrimp: Roast for 8-12 minutes, or until pink, opaque, and cooked through.
- Check for doneness: Cut into a larger shrimp to ensure it’s opaque inside.
- Serve immediately: Garnish with extra parsley and lemon juice, if desired.
