Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
- Marinara sauce, for dipping
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
- In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter and milk until fully combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
- Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese until evenly distributed.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Take a small amount of dough (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten it slightly in your palm.
- Place a small cube of mozzarella cheese (about 1 ounce) in the center of the flattened dough. Optionally, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
- Fold the edges of the dough over the cheese, pinching them together to seal.
- Place the sealed biscuit bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and cheese.
- Bake the biscuit bombs in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
- Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to avoid overcooking.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Transfer the biscuit bombs to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy the gooey mozzarella as you take a bite!
Notes
