Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Marinara sauce, for dipping

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until well mixed.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter and milk until fully combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and gently mix with a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  4. Fold in the shredded mozzarella cheese until evenly distributed.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  7. Take a small amount of dough (about the size of a golf ball) and flatten it slightly in your palm.
  8. Place a small cube of mozzarella cheese (about 1 ounce) in the center of the flattened dough. Optionally, add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Fold the edges of the dough over the cheese, pinching them together to seal.
  10. Place the sealed biscuit bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining dough and cheese.
  11. Bake the biscuit bombs in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  12. Keep an eye on them during the last few minutes to avoid overcooking.
  13. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
  14. Transfer the biscuit bombs to a serving platter and sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley if desired.
  15. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping. Enjoy the gooey mozzarella as you take a bite!

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider mixing in herbs or spices of your choice into the dough.
  • You can experiment with different types of cheese for the filling, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a unique twist.
