Enjoy a refreshing homemade grapefruit soda that’s perfect for hot days! This vibrant drink combines freshly squeezed grapefruit juice with a simple syrup and sparkling water, garnished with mint for a delightful twist.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large grapefruits
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash the grapefruits under cool running water.
  2. Cut each grapefruit in half horizontally.
  3. Juice each half using a citrus juicer or by hand, being careful of seeds.
  4. Strain the juice through a fine mesh sieve to remove pulp and seeds.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water over medium heat.

  7. In a large pitcher, combine the grapefruit juice with the cooled simple syrup and stir well.
  8. Add the sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
