Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium green apples
- 1 large cucumber
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon honey (optional)
- 1 cup cold water
- Ice cubes (for serving)
- Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the green apples and cucumber under running water to remove any pesticides or dirt.
- Core the green apples to remove the seeds, leaving the skin on for added nutrients. Cut into quarters or smaller pieces.
- Trim the ends of the cucumber and slice it into chunks. You can peel it if you prefer a smoother juice.
- Cut a lemon in half and squeeze out the juice, removing any seeds.
- Prepare your juicer according to the manufacturers instructions. If using a blender, have it ready.
- Feed the apple pieces and cucumber chunks into the juicer, alternating between them for optimal juice extraction. Collect the juice in a pitcher or bowl.
- Place apple pieces and cucumber chunks in the blender with cold water. Blend on high until smooth. Strain through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a bowl or pitcher, pressing down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible.
- Stir in the tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. If desired, add honey and stir until dissolved. Adjust sweetness to taste.
- Refrigerate for about 30 minutes or serve immediately over ice.
- Fill your favorite glasses with ice cubes.
- Pour the juice into the prepared glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
- Appreciate the vibrant color before sipping. Enjoy the refreshing combination of tart green apples and cucumber!
Notes
- Store any leftover juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within 24 hours. Shake well before serving.
