Description

Enjoy these Honey Butter Garlic Salmon Bites, featuring tender salmon pieces coated in a sweet and savory garlic sauce. Quick to make and bursting with flavor, they serve as a delightful appetizer or main dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound salmon fillet, skinless and boneless
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Start by selecting a fresh salmon fillet. Rinse the salmon under cold water and pat it dry with paper towels. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces, about 1-inch cubes. Season the salmon bites with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant and slightly golden. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  3. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well to combine. If desired, add red pepper flakes for heat and let the sauce simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a large skillet, heat a drizzle of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned salmon bites in a single layer and cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side without moving them.
  5. Gently flip the salmon bites and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until cooked through and flaky (internal temperature should reach 145°F or 63°C).
  6. Pour the honey butter garlic sauce over the salmon bites in the skillet. Gently toss to coat and let it cook for another minute to thicken slightly.
  7. Remove from heat and transfer the salmon bites to a serving platter. Drizzle any remaining sauce over the top and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
  8. Serve warm, either as an appetizer or main dish, alongside steamed rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad.

Notes

  • Choose bright, fresh salmon fillets for the best flavor.
  • Cut salmon into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • Adjust sweetness by modifying the amount of honey or soy sauce.
  • For baking, preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes, drizzling sauce halfway through.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
