Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ripe mango, peeled and diced
- 1 cup coconut water
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1/2 cup vodka (preferably a smooth, quality vodka)
- 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
- Ice cubes
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish
- Orange slices for garnish
- Mango slices for garnish
Instructions
- Start by taking your ripe mango. Make sure its soft to the touch, which indicates its perfectly ripe. If its too firm, it might not blend well.
- Peel the mango using a sharp knife or a vegetable peeler. Be careful to remove all the skin, as we want only the sweet flesh.
- Once peeled, cut the mango into chunks. This will make it easier to blend.
- Place the diced mango into a blender. If you have a high-speed blender, thats perfect, but any blender will do.
- Blend the mango until its smooth and creamy. You might need to stop and scrape down the sides to ensure everything is well blended.
- Once you have a smooth puree, set it aside. You can taste it at this point to see if its sweet enough for your liking. If its a bit tart, you can add a tablespoon of honey or agave syrup and blend again.
- In a large pitcher, combine the mango puree with the coconut water. Stir gently to mix them together.
- Next, add the freshly squeezed orange juice to the pitcher. Fresh oranges enhance the flavor, but store-bought juice works too.
- Pour in the vodka. If you prefer a stronger drink, feel free to add a bit more vodka.
- Stir the mixture well until all the ingredients are fully combined.
- Taste the mixture. If it needs more sweetness, add the honey or agave syrup and stir again.
- Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to meld the flavors.
- If short on time, pour the mixture into individual glasses filled with ice for quick chilling.
- Take your chilled pitcher out of the refrigerator and give it a gentle stir.
- Fill your favorite glasses with ice cubes. Large ice cubes are recommended as they melt slower.
- Pour the mango coconut orange vodka mixture over the ice-filled glasses, leaving a little space at the top for garnishes.
- Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves, a slice of orange, and a slice of mango.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness of the drink by varying the amount of honey or agave syrup.
- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the vodka and add more coconut water or sparkling water.
- This drink can be made in advance; just keep it chilled until serving.
