  • Total Time: 7 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A creamy and refreshing pineapple banana smoothie that’s perfect for breakfast, a snack, or a light dessert. Packed with tropical flavors and nutrients, it’s easy to customize and quick to make!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and frozen
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/4 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • A pinch of ground ginger (optional)
  • Ice cubes (if needed)
  • Optional toppings: shredded coconut, chia seeds, a pineapple wedge

Instructions

  1. Gather Ingredients: Make sure all ingredients are ready.
  2. Combine: Add frozen banana, frozen pineapple, Greek yogurt, milk, orange juice, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and ground ginger (if using) to the blender.
  3. Blend: Close the lid and blend on high speed until smooth and creamy (1-2 minutes). Add more milk or orange juice if too thick, or ice cubes if too thin.
  4. Check & Adjust: Check consistency and taste. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup, or add lemon/lime juice for tanginess. Add more frozen fruit/ice for thickness, or more liquid for thinness.
  5. Pour: Carefully pour the smoothie into a glass.
  6. Top (Optional): Add your favorite toppings like shredded coconut, chia seeds, or a pineapple wedge.
  7. Serve: Serve immediately. Store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours, stir before serving.
  8. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for sweetness.
  • Freezing fruit makes the smoothie thicker and preserves nutrients.
  • Add a handful of spinach or kale for extra nutrients.
  • Use any type of milk you like.
  • Add protein powder for more protein.
  • Pour into a bowl and top with granola, nuts, seeds, and fresh fruit.
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom for a warm and cozy flavor.
  • To make the smoothie vegan, simply use a non-dairy milk and omit the honey or use maple syrup instead.
  • You can prepare the ingredients for the smoothie ahead of time by placing the frozen banana, pineapple chunks, and other ingredients in a freezer-safe bag or container.
