A refreshing, tropical Pineapple Margarita with tequila blanco, Cointreau, fresh pineapple and lime juice, and agave nectar.

- 2 oz Tequila Blanco (good quality recommended)
- 1 oz Cointreau (or other orange liqueur)
- 1.5 oz Fresh Pineapple Juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 0.5 oz Agave Nectar (adjust to taste)
- Pineapple wedge, for garnish
- Lime wedge, for garnish
- Salt or Sugar for rimming (optional)
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- (Optional) Prepare the Glass: If desired, rim a margarita glass with salt or sugar. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass. Spread salt or sugar on a small plate. Gently press the moistened rim into the salt or sugar, rotating until evenly coated. Set aside.
- Combine Ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, Cointreau, pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave nectar to the shaker.
- Shake: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
- Strain: Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice. (Optional: Double strain through a fine-mesh sieve for a smoother drink).
- Garnish: Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a lime wedge.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately!
