  • Pineapple wedge, for garnish
  • Lime wedge, for garnish
  • Salt or Sugar for rimming (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. (Optional) Prepare the Glass: If desired, rim a margarita glass with salt or sugar. Run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass. Spread salt or sugar on a small plate. Gently press the moistened rim into the salt or sugar, rotating until evenly coated. Set aside.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add tequila, Cointreau, pineapple juice, lime juice, and agave nectar to the shaker.
  3. Shake: Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, until well-chilled.
