  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

This Pineapple Strawberry Slushie is a refreshing tropical drink perfect for hot days. Made with fresh pineapple and strawberries blended with coconut water, it offers a delightful balance of sweetness and tanginess. Easy to prepare, this slushie is a great way to cool down and enjoy a burst of fruity flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh pineapple chunks (or canned pineapple, drained)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1/2 cup coconut water (or regular water)
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup (adjust based on sweetness preference)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (optional, for added tang)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Wash the strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them into halves or quarters.
  2. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain it well.
  3. For an extra frosty texture, freeze the pineapple and strawberries for about an hour before blending.
  4. In a blender, add the frozen pineapple chunks followed by the fresh strawberries.
  5. Pour in the coconut water (or regular water).
  6. Add the honey or agave syrup, adjusting based on your sweetness preference.
  7. Squeeze in the fresh lime juice if desired.
  8. Toss in the ice cubes, adjusting the amount based on your preferred slushy consistency.
  9. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until smooth, about 30 seconds to a minute. Stop to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  10. Taste the slushie. If too thick, add more coconut water or regular water and blend again.
  11. If not sweet enough, add more honey or agave syrup and blend again.
  12. Once satisfied with the flavor and texture, it’s time to serve!
  13. Use clear glasses to showcase the vibrant colors of the slushies.
  14. Pour the slushie mixture into each glass, filling them about three-quarters full.
  15. Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint and/or a slice of fresh pineapple or strawberry on the rim.
  16. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon, and enjoy!
  17. If you have any slushie left over, store it in an airtight container in the freezer. When ready to enjoy, blend again to restore the slushy texture.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness based on the ripeness of your fruits.
