  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (freshly squeezed preferred)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice (from sweet pickle relish jar)

Instructions

  1. Mixing the Base: In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, sweet pickle relish, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce.
  2. Adding the Spices: Sprinkle in garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Squeeze in lemon juice. Grind in black pepper. Add salt.
  3. The Secret Ingredient: Add the pickle juice.
  4. Mixing and Chilling: Whisk all ingredients together until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (preferably an hour) to allow flavors to meld.
  6. Serve with fries, onion rings, burgers, chicken nuggets, tacos, or as a salad dressing.
