Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225 g) rice noodles
- 1 lb (450 g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili paste (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- Cook the rice noodles according to package instructions (typically 4-6 minutes in boiling water). Drain and rinse under cold water. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and rice vinegar. Add the beef, ensuring it’s well coated. Marinate for 15-30 minutes.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, chili paste, sesame oil, and water. Set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of oil. Stir-fry minced garlic and grated ginger for 30 seconds. Add red bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot; stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked rice noodles and pour the prepared sauce over everything. Toss gently to combine and heat through for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Serve hot in bowls or on plates. Enjoy your delicious homemade sticky beef noodles!
