Description

Indulge in these delightful Tiramisu Cups, featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and rich mascarpone cream. Perfect for entertaining or a sweet treat at home, these individual servings impress with their creamy texture and bold coffee flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ladyfinger cookies (savoiardi)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
  • Dark chocolate shavings or grated chocolate, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brew a strong cup of coffee (dark roast recommended) and let it cool to room temperature.
  2. If using coffee liqueur, mix it into the cooled coffee.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream on medium speed until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. In another bowl, combine the softened mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture, starting with a small amount to lighten it, then gradually adding the rest.
  6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture (do not soak).
  7. Place a layer of dipped ladyfingers at the bottom of your serving cups.
  8. Spoon a generous layer of the mascarpone cream mixture over the ladyfingers.
  9. Repeat the layers: another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by another layer of cream mixture.
  10. Finish with a final layer of the mascarpone cream on top.
  11. Cover the cups with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).
  12. Dust the tops with unsweetened cocoa powder before serving.
  13. Optionally, add dark chocolate shavings or grated chocolate on top.
  14. Serve and enjoy the layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and creamy mascarpone!
